In 1997, after the split up of some local bands, 4 guys started to play in the basement of a detached house and formed a band dubbed Punishment. After a few months of rehearsals, the band started to play numerous local concerts simultaneously winning the esteem of hc/metal/punk kids. As time passed, Punishment’s music started to grow mature and drift toward dynamic hardcore / punk. In 2003 the band recorded a tape released by an underground Polish label Subculture Records. The tape comprised twelve speedy and energetic cuts - the pure essence of Punishment’s style. Shortly after, problems with line-up started to pop up; nevertheless, they did not exert a considerable impact on the band itself. In the meantime Punishment played several concerts at the side of both foreign and top Polish underground bands. At the moment the band’s primary focus is the work on the new album. Fast and coherent tracks, furious lyrics - that is undoubtedly the new face of Punishment A.D. 2006.
