Mit csinálhat az ember, ha hiába játszik több zenekarban, vannak ötletei, amiket sehol nem tud felhasználni? A válasz egyszerű: új projectbe kezd. A The Wheelers megalapításának gondolata 2006 nyarán merült fel Gergő (basszusgitár, ének) agyában, ám akkor idő hiányában nem lett semmi a dologból. Az ötlet ugyanakkor nem lett eltemetve, és a megfelelő pillanatban konkrét formát is öltött. A megfelelő pillanat 2007 tavaszának elején jött el, amikor emberünk ott hagyta az egyik együttest, amiben addig játszott, így teljes erővel vethette magát a korábban megálmodott terv megvalósításába. Ehhez persze rögtön szükség volt egy dobosra is, de nem kellett sokáig keresgélni. A megoldás mintegy adta magát, Tibi nyilvánvaló választás volt, hiszen a két jóember már korábban is zenélt együtt, így jól tudták, mire számíthatnak a másik részéről. A gitároskeresés volt még hátra, hirdetés útján találtak a fiúk a többi tagra. A The Wheelers így koncertképes formációvá vált, persze a számokat még össze kell gyakorolni. Merthogy számok már vannak és folyamatosan készülnek is, hiszen kell, hogy legyen mit felrakni a nyár végén felveendő lemezre...

What do you do, when despite the fact that you play in a couple of bands at a time, you still have some ideas that you cannot utilize? The answer is simple: you start a new project. The idea of founding The Wheelers popped up in Gergő’s (bass, vocals) mind in the summer of 2006, but then it was left at that due to lack of time. But the idea was not buried deep, so it all came into existence at the proper time. The proper time arrived during the spring of 2007, when said guy left one of the bands he had been playing in, so he could work with full force on realizing the plans he made up earlier. Of course he needed a drummer immediately, but the search did not last long. The solution was obvious, Tibi was the most fitting choice. The two have played together previously in other projects, so they knew quite well what to expect from each other. However, the search for a guitarist still had to go on, but the guys soon found the remaining members, who responded to an advertisement. The Wheelers became a full band this way, though they still need to practice the songs to be able to play a whole set. Songwriting is still in progress to have enough material both for shows and the album the band plans to record during the summer...
