A Still on Road zenekar 2004 nyarán alakult a következő tagsággal: László Balázs (ének, gitár), Machalik Márk (gitár), Vörös János (basszusgitár), László Péter (dob). A kezdetek kezdetén főként az angolszász rockzene két klasszikusa volt a meghatározó az együttes repertoárjában (Oasis, REM), melyek mellé fokozatosan más, hasonló műfajú előadók dalai is felsorakoztak (Blur, Verve, Dandy Warholes, stb). A nyáron alakult együttes szeptember elején már aktív koncertezésbe kezdett, első koncertjük a Szeptemberfeszt nevű szabadtéri rendezvény nagyszínpadán (!), majd másnap a Hangmester.hu színpadon volt. Ettől kezdve a Still on Road a hazai klubélet rendszeres fellépője lett, mindenütt igényes és lendületes műsort nyújtva közönségének.
A 2005-ös évben több tagcsere is történt a zenekar háza táján. A szólógitárosi posztra Csordás Zoltán került, míg a basszusgitáros Cserháti Péter lett. Mindezek ellenére az év folyamán egyre nagyobb tempóban születtek a saját dalok, melyek jelenleg meghatározó helyet foglalnak el az együttes repertoárjában és koncertjein. 2005 márciusában a ZZZ3 Stúdióban elkészült a zenekar első három számos demója melyen még a korábbi basszusgitáros játszik és egy vendég-billentyűs, Kósa Dávid is közreműködik.
2006-tól a zenekar a Fészek klub rendszeres fellépője, és számos egyéb budapesti klubban is koncertezik. Az év februárja óta a basszusgitáros Kovács László, a koncerteken a hangzásvilág pedig akusztikus gitárral is bővült, még autentikusabbá téve ezzel a műsort.
2007 elején visszatért a csapatba Cserháti Péter vokálos posztra. A basszusgitáros Balla-Seethaler Tamás lett.
Január elején a zenekar a CitySound stúdióban felvette legújabb 6 számos EP-jét (Far away), ennek kapcsán a médiában több helyen is szerepelt (rádió, zenei portálok - interjúk, lemezkritikák, stb.). Jelenleg már teljesen saját zenét játszik az együttes - saját számaiban amellett, hogy érződik a brit rockzene és az indie rock iránti elkötelezettség, mind szövegileg mind zeneileg az eredetiségre és a változatosságra helyezi a hangsúlyt az együttes.
The band was formed on the summer of 2004: Balázs László (vocal, electric and electro-acoustic guitar), Márk Machalik (solo guitar), János Vörös (bass guitar), Péter László (drums). We all knew each other from previous bands: the first three members had played in several bands together, and Balázs László and Péter László (who are just namesakes) had one previous formation. From September (just two months after the beginning) we started to make concerts. From that time on, the band became a regular participant in the clubs of Budapest When we began to make concerts, we started it with playing cover versions of the songs of two deservedly famous band: Oasis and REM. Later we added cover versions of many other great bands’ songs: such as Blur, Verve, Dandy Warholes, Deep Blue Something, etc. After the first few months, more and more good original songs were created by the band.

In this year, there were some changes concerning the members of the band: Zoltán Csordás became the solo guitarist, and the bassman became Péter Cserháti (who is now the background vocalist of the band).
Our first demo was made in ZZZ3 Studio. It was called ’Believe me’, and it consisted of three songs: Believe me, Dear people and Tanks go by. On this demo a keyboard player was also playing with us (he was a member of the band for a short time), and later we started experimenting with an additional acoustic guitar player. It was a little bit ’too much’ for the band but it also made our songs more colourful. We solved this problem later in 2006 with the singer/guitarist kid (Balázs László) starting to use an electro-acoustic guitar along with his usual electric one. During this year, more and more original songs were created by the band and we played in different clubs of Budapest.

From the year of 2006, the band began performing regularly (on a monthly basis) in one of Budapest’s well-known clubs: Fészek Club. The person in the bass guitarist position changed again: the new bassman’s name was László Kovács. In this year we introduced an electro-acoustic guitar in our music (used by Balázs László) to make it more colourful. We made a totally unplugged concert as well, and we celebrated the two years’ existence of the band with a gig where most of the previous members of the band were included.

In 2007, Péter Cserháti has returned to the band as a background vocalist, and we finally found our present bass guitarist: Tamás Balla-Seethaler. And so, the actual membership has been formed. The band recorded its first professional EP in CitySound Studio. After recording this EP, we have started to promote the band: we gave several interviews and one of Hungary’s big state-owned radio stations (Radio Petőfi) has also found our music worthy of broadcasting. During this year, we plan to make a videoclip for one of our recorded songs, and later in the year, we plan another studio recordings: 5-6 new songs will be added to the previous ones, and so a whole album will be made with approximately 11-12 songs.
